Flu Shot

Flu shots are recommended for all persons over 65 years of age as well as people who work in the Health Professions. Each year the flu shot is different and is made specifically for that years 3 flu strains that are predicted to be the most prevalent . The vaccine actually consists of the weakened strains of the flu virus so it is important to note that persons with weakened immune systems are not to get the flu shot until they are at 100%. Ask your pharmacist if you are not sure if you should get a flu shot.
